Icanplaydrums.com is the largest free drum lesson video site on the internet, with over 85,000 happy subscribers worldwide. Through the site, members get over 120 free drum lessons in a variety of formats, as well as BIG DRUM EZINE video newsletters every 1-2 weeks. All the lessons and newsletters are free, and will remain free.

WHO IS JACK BENNETT?

Jack was born in Melbourne in 1980 and began his professional music career at age 9, singing in numerous productions with the Australian and Victorian State Opera's whilst learning piano. Jack then attended a specialist music school in Melbourne and began his obsession with all things drums! In his final years at school, Jack aced his music exams and scored one of the highest Drumkit CAT Exams on record, as well as winning every State and National award on offer in Australia with the Blackburn High Stage Band.

In first year college Jack won the open division of the prestigious, "Australia's Best Up and Coming Drummer Competition" at age 18, whilst studying with Australia's most respected drummers. This led him to touring the world for the next 4 years. Jack has toured with the national smash hit tours of shows, "Grease!" "Shout!", "Hedwig And The Angry Inch" and "Moonshadows - The Cat Stevens Show". He plays regularly with The Australian Showband, numerous rock and jazz groups, and has played in over 20 countries in Europe and China.

He has been a featured artist twice in Australian drum magazine, Drumscene, and in the Summer 08 issue of Rhythm UK Mag was awarded 5 stars and "the best and certainly cheapest one-stop course I've ever seen!" for his "Ultimate Drumming Solution 2007" 12 DVD set.

Jack holds international endorsements with Sleishman Drums, Vater Drumsticks and Sabian Cymbals and is a regular clinician for Sleishman. He has produced the widely popular, “Ultimate Drumming Solution 2007”, "100 Years Of Drumming", “Funk & Illusion Drumming” and "Rudiments Around The Kit" DVD training packs, some of which were filmed outdoors from the beach, snow, desert, forest and more!

Jack he is also a C4 licenced personal trainer in Australia.

In early 2009 Sleishman Drum Company are launching the "Jack Bennett Signature Snare Drum" worldwide. The snare is 5.5x14" Tasmanian Blackwood. It boasts an incredibly full response across all registers and a range of tuning second to none, making it one of the most versatile snares ever made.
